Rock gods Metallica were out in force at the Bahrain Grand Prix, watching things unfold from the McLaren garage. Elsewhere, the country’s Crown Prince met up with British royal (and former Williams F1 man) Peter Phillips, and Pink Floyd’s Nick Mason hobnobbed with the drivers. F1’s powerbrokers swarmed around the world’s richest man, Carlos Slim Helu, who was in the paddock to cheer on Esteban Gutierrez. After the race, entertainment was provided by Ne-Yo and Calvin Harris.
